Kitesurfing is a cross between wakeboarding and paragliding. It’s exhilarating, fun, suitable for most ages and is the most rapidly growing water sport in the world. An 8 hour beginner’s course should see you kiting, and if you’re not sure whether it’s for you, we offer a 2 hour taster course! Tarifa is arguably one of the most popular kiting destinations, with some of the most favourable and beautiful conditions in Europe. What better than to learn in summer beach temperatures of 30°C with 95% kitesurfable days per year with stunning views of Morocco (only 35 mins away by boat, if you fancy a trip!)? Kite Discovery Tarifa is owned and managed by Horacio Nino Monti, who started yacht racing in 1970 in Argentina. A love of the sea and water sports subsequently led him to learn windsurfing and wave surfing in 1980’s and kitesurfing in 2000. He has used his wealth of experience to teach kitesurfing, windsurfing and wave surfing in his own schools in Punte Del Este, Buenos Aires and Tarifa. His 15 years teaching experience in Tarifa have provided him with an in-depth knowledge of local weather conditions and of all the best and safest spots to learn and improve in. We teach students in a safe and fun manner (4 max in a group). We use Walkie Talkies integrated with the safety helmets to instruct students when they are in the water and we have a jet ski at hand if anyone needs help in the water. We also use the jetski for Wakeboarding if the conditions aren't right for kiting . . . . . Great for practising waterstart!! Horacio and his instructors are extremely experienced, and qualified to standards. All prices include student insurance and use of equipment.
